Too Much Too Young

This was tabbed out by Paul who very kindly sent it to me for use on the website.

This is a basic version in terms of the chords etc. (which I’m not sure of in some bits), for instance there’s another guitar and a bit of slide guitar in the intro on the studio version.  I’ve always tended to base it loosely on the live version and just play it kinda relaxed, once you get the basics it’s easy to just get into your own groove as the song lends itself well to that ‘jammy’ feel they were into at the time.  I’ve tried to break it down into repeatable sections and phrases which hopefully make sense.  Anyway here you go.

p = pull off
h = hammer on
PM = Palm Mute
Harm = Natural harmonics
: = repeat section or phrase
/ = slide between notes

Where a note appears in brackets after another, i.e. 16(18), it refers to a bend.

There’s also random bits of artificial harmonics throughout the song i.e. in the guitar solo, just add them if you happen to hit them (it’s not by any means essential).

*You get the bend in the harmonics by bending the string between the tuning pegs and the end of the neck as the harmonic is sounding.
