Pennington's, Bradford
18th July 2002

This is a nice venue, low roof but very posh.  The in-house crew are all (ex)band members too so they knew what they were doing.  One of them even used to be in Marshal Law with Roger.

Durng the soundcheck Nick sang 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You' and 'Close To You' as well as 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'!  The band also played 'Twisted Rhapsody' - a new song for the tour.

After the soundcheck I was persuaded to part with my t-shirt by Matt - who wore it for the show.  I was offered it back sopping wet at the end of the night!

As for the show itself - it was a hot one.  Toby even commented on the temperature during the show.

Toby let the audience sing the end of 'Kickin' Up Dust' - something he didn't do last night in Scarborough.  Another first tonight (I think) was a female singer on 'Too Much Too Young' - she seemed to do quite well and knew the words at least.

The band stayed on-stage for the brief gap between the main set and the encores.  They did look like they were going to return after the last song but the in-house DJ had already started the background music.

Roger seemed to be enjoying tonight's show - he went extreme with the head banging during 'The Way That I Live' at the end of the show.
