Sorry I've been a bit lax with this website....real life has gotten in the way a bit recently but I'm aiming to have it brought back up to date by the end of the year.

Listen here

2nd February 2015

Toby and Dave played a great show at The Diamond Rock Club in Ireland on Saturday.  The setlist was:

Forbidden Fruit didn't get played though!

8th November 2014

OK, Toby's show with Dave Kemp is still going ahead at the Diamond Rock Club in Ireland on 31st Janaury 2015...Tour page updated accordingly :D

1st November 2014

Some bad news today, unfortunately Toby has had to cancel his December tour.  He posted the following message on Facebook

"Good morning all. I'm very sorry to announce that I have taken the decision to cancel my acoustic tour that was to begin in December.

It is due, in part, to an offer of work on a very exciting project that I would be a fool to turn down that needs to be completed over the same period.

I think you know that I wouldn't do this lightly and apologise to all that have already bought a ticket or were thinking of doing so. I massively appreciate the continued support and have plans to complete new music in 2015 that I will then tour. I will keep you all posted with developments.

All tickets can be refunded at point of purchase.

My very deepest thanks again and sorry for any inconvenience caused."

Tobe"

I'm sure the exciting project will prove to be very interesting.....and I'm told the live album will still be going ahead at least so it's not all bad.

12th September 2014

December tour dates announced :D  See the Tour page for dates.....

10th August 2014

Tourography page updated with the weekends' gigs.... 45 minute support slot to FM in Wakefield on Friday 8th August then a private function on Saturday which saw the ridiculously talented Dave Kemp add keyboards to his repertoire in a set which featured the return of Womankind and an in-promptu She's A Little Angel.  Good times were had by all.

I've heard a rumour of a December tour........more when I have it!

22nd July 2014

Bit of a shock find this one.....not entirely sure of the details but it seems to be a track Toby recorded with Mike Lynskey (who was half the version of Big Bad Horns who toured with Toby in 2006) so I'm assuming it's from 2006-ish.

Enjoy :D

17th June 2014

Setlists for Toby's two solo acoustic shows last week (London and Download) added to the Tourography page.....

28th June 2013

Just realised that it has been a while since I updated the Music page!  I've recently ripped the audio from some old Little Angels videos and remastered them as best I can for your listening please.  The first set from The Brits Music weekend in 1991 is available to download now.  More coming soon.........

18th June 2013

And it's all over folks :(  The Isle Of Wight was an absolute blast and it was a pleasure and a privilege to be able to hang out with the band before and after their set-the atmosphere in their dressing room was happy, upbeat and relaxed and a totally different feeling to the reports of the backstage vibe at Albert Hall-a much more pleasant way to end their legacy.  I'll never forget a bizarre conversation about the possibility of a horse getting depressed enough to commit suicide!  (Note: Bruce was adamant that it is not possible).  Just one of many highlights which also included meeting Sir Bob Geldof, Russell Howard, Paloma Faith and Mark Smith as well as getting a high five from Mr Jon Bon Jovi!

Anyway....the set for their penultimate show in Cambridge was the same as Cardiff (see below) and their last ever set was:

She's A Little Angel
Kickin' Up Dust
Boneyard
Radical Your Lover
The Way That I Live
That's My Kinda Life
Don't Pray For Me
Too Much Too Young
Young Gods

I'm glad they ended with Young Gods-such a great song!  Although Bruce did smash his guitar at the end-not the 'Eat My Dust' one mind-and I almost cried!  Bless him though he did apologise to me (twice!) about it!

After their set we all hung out, enjoyed the rest of the day/the free bar and watched Bon Jovi.  In the words of Lou Reed such a perfect day......

14th June 2013

Another amazing show in Cardiff last night-the Welsh certainly remember how to rock!  The setlist was:

She's A Little Angel
Kickin' Up Dust
Boneyard
Radical Your Lover
The Way That I Live
Don't Pray For Me
Womankind
Soapbox
Back Door Man
That's My Kinda Life
Too Much Too Young
Young Gods
----
I Ain't Gonna Cry
Kids Wanna Rock ~ Whole Lottta Rosie
I Was Not Wrong

10th March 2013

27th January 2013

Great show by Toby at Fibbers in York last night which features a major setlist shake-up and introduced some "new songs;

Motivated
Unwind
Breakdown
Boneyard

No Solution
Forgiveness
My Aim Is True
The Chosen One
Rear View Mirror
Don't Pray For Me
I Ain't Gonna Cry
Unfortunate Man
Just No Way
Kickin' Up Dust
Way That I Live
Young Gods ~ Back Door Man
---
Deliver Me
Too Much Too Young

23rd January 2013

20 years later and I am very very happy to report that Little Angels shall again be sharing a stage with the one and only Bon Jovi (my other favourite band in case you didn't know!).  Yes on 13th June 2013 the Angels shall be playing at the Isle Of Wight festival and I can't wait!  See the official website for more info on line-up/tickets etc.

9th December 2012

Three absolutely incredible shows into the tour and a great time has been had by band, crew and fans alike so far!  Setlists up on the Tourography page - I won't post them on here til after the tour to avoid spoilers for those who don't want to know what they are playing yet..!

26th November 2012

New Little Angels DVD :D

"To coincide with the 'One More For the Road Tour', Little Angels are pleased to announce that they will soon release a brand new, limited edition, 'One More For The Road DVD'. The DVD will feature the band's full triumphant 'Download Festival' live set from earlier this summer along with a brand new exclusive behind the scenes documentary. No stone is left unturned as the band talk about their journey from the early days in Scarborough through to the highs of a number one album and touring the world. For the first time the band open up about the emotional rollercoaster of the final gig at the Royal Albert Hall in 1994 and how the death of Michael Lee, years later, brought them all back together again. The DVD will show never seen before 'home movie' footage of the band at work, rest and play as well as bringing together for the first time ever, all thirteen video clips from the bands singles collection. It will truly be the 'must have' DVD for any Little Angels fan... "

2nd October 2012

Also, Toby will be playing a one-off solo show at Fibbers in York on 21st December 2012.  It's billed as "Toby Jepson & Very Special Guests" so who know who may be there.......?

4th August 2012

Sadly Mark Richardson has had to drop out of the "One More For The Road" tour due to his commitments with Skunk Anansie.  His replacement is to be announced shortly.....personally I'm hoping it'll be Matt E (who knows half the songs anyway!) but we shall see.....

23rd July 2012

Little Angels "One More For The Road" December Tour announced :D See Tour page for dates and venues :D :D :D  Support comes from the very excellent Skin too.

"MONDAY 23RD JULY Ė One of the UKís best rock bands, Little Angels have today announced that they will be embarking on a UK tour (their first in nearly 20 years) this December. The ĎOne More For The Roadí tour will stop at 8 cities across the country throughout December. Little Angels tickets go on general sale on Friday 27th July from www.ticketmaster or  www.livenation.co.uk

On July 2nd 1994 the Little Angels played their final gig to a sold out Royal Albert Hall in London. Toby Jepson, Bruce John Dickinson, Mark Plunkett, Jimmy Dickinson & Mark Richardson took their final bow, shook hands and brought to an end the life of one of the UKís finest rock bands, splitting up at the height of their popularity. In June this year the Little Angels re-united and made their long overdue return to a rapturous reception at Download Festival, Castle Donington.

Speaking on their reunion and their ĎOne More For The Roadí tour Little Angels say

'As we walked off the stage at Download this year we all knew that we couldn't leave it at that. We always loved playing around the UK so to get the chance to re-visit some of our old stomping grounds, eighteen years later, is just great.'

Joining Little Angels on this tour are another UK rock treasure, Skin. Speaking on the upcoming tour, guitarist Myke Gray had the following to add

ĎThe first tour that Skin ever did was supporting the Little Angels in 1993, it was an amazing time and the launch of our career. To be given the chance to do it all again is too cool for words! Good to see British Rock is alive and well!í

Shamelessly stolen from www.TobyJepson.com

"Hi there

Tonight I can confirm that I have been approached for, and I have accepted the job as vocalist for Dio's Disciples.

It is a project put together by Ronnie James Dio's Wife and manager Wendy Dio, to keep the great mans music alive and to celebrate the amazing legacy he left behind after his untimely death last year.

The band will consist of Dio band members:
Craig Goldy on guitar, Simon Wright on drums, Rudy Sarzo on bass and Scott Warren on Keyboards. I will be joined on stage by vocalist Tim 'Ripper' Owens to share the duty of delivering what I believe to be some of the greatest Rock songs ever written.

As im sure you can imagine, this is an unbelievable privilege for me but also incredibly daunting as Ronnie is without doubt one of the greatest vocalist to ever grace the stages of rock and can never be replaced.
Ronnie was a pivotal reason for me wanting to get into this game in the first place after hearing that amazing tone and delivery as a kid, so I don't take this task lightly and intend to do everything in my power to do as good a job as possible and hope all fans of Ronnie's can join us in celebrating the great man and his music.

There are shows plans for Europe and the rest of the world and will bring you the dates as soon as I have them.
Until then I thank you for reading and sincerely hope you will join us and become one of Dio's Disciples!

Kindest regards

Tobe
Scarborough 2011"

21st March 2011

A big congratulations to Toby who has been announced as the singer for Dio Disciplines-a tribute to Ronnie James Dio who passed away last year.  Wendy Dio posted the following messages at www.ronniejamesdio.com

"Dear Friends,

I wanted to let you know that Rudy, Simon, Craig and Scott will be playing some shows in Europe together with Ripper Owens and Toby Jepson as DIO Disciples.

There will never be another Ronnie, but we want to keep his music alive and hope you will support the band and become one of the
DIO Disciples.

We will post the UK/European tour dates as they are confirmed, and we are planning some US dates also.

Hope to see you at one of the shows.

With love, Wendy"

Although Toby had previously mentioned that 'Back In The Day' would be a download track but who knows....

10th August 2010

Overwhelming Me is available for download/streaming at www.tobyjepson.com right now.  I love this song to say the least!  Lyrics below.....

Overwhelming Me

Iíve been waiting for so long

Am I crazy Ė I donít understand whatís going on

Didnít see where you came from

Thought that I would end up living out my life alone

Please forgive me if I seem a little out of my head

Oh itís overwhelming me

So unexpectedly

Is this how I should feel? Is it real?

Oh itís overwhelming me

So unexpectedly

Finally I feel something real

But itís hard to change routine

Cos Iím a creature comforted by falling in-between

Can you give me a little time

To adjust I spent so long preparing for the fight

Please forgive me if I seem a little out of my head

Oh itís overwhelming me

So unexpectedly

Is this how should I feel?  Is it real?

Oh itís overwhelming me

So unexpectedly

Finally I feel something real

Is this real enough

Is this the real thing weíve got
I could not take rejection

Not again Iíd rather stop it now

So tell me please Iíve got to know

Can we let this love grow

Oh itís overwhelming me

So unexpectedly

Is this how should I feel?  Is it real?

Oh itís overwhelming me

So unexpectedly

Finally I feel something real

Oh itís overwhelming me

So unexpectedly

Is this how should I feel?  Is it real?

Oh itís overwhelming me

So unexpectedly

Finally I feel something real

17th July 2010

Lyrics to the new songs, Hurts and The Chosen One available for download on www.tobyjepson.com, along with songs on the jukebox you may not have heard before......

Hurts

Thereís always something taking place

Beneath my happy smiling face

That I wear a frown

It isnít that I have a doubt

Itís more about the feeling

Thatís hanging round

It isnít like a new phenomena

I was just a commoner

Way back when

But at the time Iím flying

Thereís no point in us denying

Whats happening

[Chorus]

Cos it hurts just a little bit more

Than it ever did before

Yeah it hurts just a little bit more

Than it ever did before

Dice is always loaded

So the game I canít control
Itís never fair

The crumbs beneath the table

Arenít sufficient to disable

All that I fear

Where in this equation

Is the source of our salvation

And happiness

Still waiting for an answer

Iím a lover not a dancer
Of all your sweet tenderness

But it hurts just a little bit more

Than it ever did before

Yeah it hurts just a little bit more

Than it ever did before

And it takes all my time to ignore

Everything that gone before

Yeah it hurts just a little bit more more more

But itís a good ?????

Yeah it hurts just a little bit more

Than it ever did before

Yeah it hurts just a little bit more

Than it ever did before

And it takes all my time to ignore

Everything that gone before

Yeah it hurts just a little bit more

Than it ever did

Yeah it hurts just a little bit more

Than it ever did before

Yeah it hurts just a little bit more

Than it ever did

And it takes all my time to ignore

Everything that gone before

Yeah it hurts just a little bit more more more more

The Chosen One

Though itís hard to admit

I stopped making sense

Between the blood and the spit

I lost my confidence

But I never thought

That I would live to see

All my hopes fade away

The rests just bad memories

So hold on tight, donít be scared

Donít look down unless youíre well prepared
Turn my face to the sun
Iím not gonna be the chosen one

This foolish work of art

Has everything but taste

While cautious men slow down

The idiot makes haste

And the tracks of my tears

As plain as the egg on my face

And as I crack a smile

Itís hard to imagine what those tears erase

?????? rides down, another fall
Just you wait until your dad gets home

Happiness, worn and gone

Iím not gonna be the chosen one

Footloose, two left feet

Sometimes hell the only place to be

Putting your faith in fools

??Fool is wrong???

Well Iím not gonna be the chosen one

Iím not gonna be the chosen one

I wonít wait

Canít be late

When Iíll be back I canít say

I wonít wait

Canít be late

When Iíll be back I canít say

So forgive my mouth

Exohonorate

Letsí not holler

Put on the brakes

Guilt complex

Hours of fun

Iím not gonna be the chosen one

Waters on

Little rain

Old men know the truth but still complain

Welcome to this house of fun

Iím not gonna be the chosen one

The chosen one

The chosen one

The chosen one

Iím not gonna be the chosen one

Turn my face to the sun

Cos Iím not gonna be the chosen one

3rd July 2010

Big news this week (which I have been a little slow at posting!)-basically Toby has quit as singer of Gun.  The Official website sent out this announcement..

"GUN - Announcement from Toby Jepson

Due to increasing writing and production commitments for other artists, I have decided to leave GUN as the singer. I have had a fantastic time working with Jools and Dante and consider the music we have created together as being amongst the best I have been involved in throughout my career . I wish them well and sincerely hope that we will work together again in some capacity in the future. I stress that that I am in no way leaving the world of live music, far from it, it is simply that at the moment I cannot commit 100% to future GUN plans and would not want to stand in the way of the bands potential further development . I fully intend to resurface as a rock singer in one way or another in the near future so watch this space...

GUN - Announcement from Jools & Dante.

Following on from Toby's announcement we will take some time out to decide GUN's future.
The last couple of years have been great and we have really enjoyed playing the gigs. Thanks to Toby for being an excellent frontman and thanks to the fans for supporting us.
Dante and I will keep you posted with what's happening.......so don't go away now!"

Toby is currently producing an album for a Russian singer which should be finished in August and then his commitment will be EP3 (finally!).  I'll still be reminding him every week though.

In the meantime, enjoy 3 more songs from the Gun Rockers show on the Music page, and expect more news soon regarding Toby live dates of some nature....

Fantastic Toby solo show last night in Scarborough, again another mixture of acoustic and electric tracks.  I'm told that the show was recorded and that some tracks may make it onto a live CD which may be a stopgap to EP3, speaking of which the latest news is "summer".

Interestingly a new song entitled 'The Chosen One' was included on the setlist last night but Toby didn't actually play it during the show (sadly).  The final setlist was:
